Award winning TV presenters to host Health and Care Innovation EXPO 2017

Gavin Esler and Jenny Kleeman

Gavin Esler and Jenny Kleeman are hosting this years’  NHS Health and Innovation Care Expo, to be held at Manchester Central Convention Centre.   The Expo showcases examples of innovation within the health and social care sector and also brings together other agencies, businesses and interested parties together. The aim is to improve patient and professional outcomes and brings together the best of business to look at innovative ways to achieve this.

Gavin Esler is better known as the former news reader and presenter from BBC’s Newsnight. He is sharing the compere duties with Jenny Kleeman, who is a journalist and presents documentaries for Channel 4 and BBC television.

Gavin is a veteran radio broadcaster and writer having written five novels and two non-fiction books.  Lessons from the Top, his latest offering,  has been inspired by conversations and interviews from numerous heads of state and world leaders.  He examines how stories are used by successful leaders to educate, persuade and bring about change.

Jenny has worked within TV and the media for a number of years and has fronted films for Channel 4’s foreign affairs documentary series Unreported World.  Jenny has covered stories from the deep Amazon rainforest to hosting shows for the BBC in the UK.  Jenny has also extensively written for a variety of paper media including The Guardian, The Sunday Times and The Observer, to name just a few.

The agenda for the two days at EXPO make for an exciting agenda, and include NHS England Chief Executive, Simon Stevens and also Jeremy Hunt, the Health Secretary.  They will present along with NHS England’s National Medical Director, Professor Sir Bruce Keogh and Chief Nursing Officer for England, Professor Jane Cummings.

The overarching theme this year is “Collaboration to implement the NHS Five Year Forward View across health and social care” .

Health Innovation Manchester will be in attendance and we are looking forward to the Pop- Up University as well as the plethora of speakers that are featured this year.  We also have our own agenda of speakers on our stand, and these include our 100% challenge and showcasing DataWell.
